What do you enjoy most about Renegade Fitness?
Where do I even start? Renegade has become much more than a gym to me. Besides the obvious great workouts, it’s the people that make Renegade so much more than a gym. I’ve gained so many great friendships that started while breaking a sweat at Renegade. Obviously, the coaches are pretty great too. Chris, Jen, and Chuck always keep me on my toes with new exercises that keep me coming back for more.
Progress not Perfection
This statement of Progress, not Perfection has really become my daily mantra and has really helped change my mentality and lead to sustainable lifestyle changes. I used to be such a perfectionist (okay, maybe still a little bit of one), but I had the “all or none” mentality. If I messed up on my nutrition, it turned into a complete disaster for the day, or maybe even the rest of the week until I could hit the reset button on Sunday. However, this created the back and forth yo-yo we’ve all felt. But with this progress mentality, I know every decision I’m making is progress toward my goals; some decisions result in faster progress while some create slower progress. It’s made life more enjoyable and given me the ability to sustain this lifestyle more consistently. I used to be so hard on myself in my desire to be perfect, but I don’t beat myself up anymore over minor things…like cookies.
