What brought you to Renegade Fitness in the
When I heard Jen speak about the community-oriented and friendly atmosphere of Renegade while we were classmates during Leadership Toledo, I was intrigued and wanted to check it out. I had been intimidated by the idea of working out at a gym because I had no idea where to even start. I also wanted to commit to a fitness routine that would allow me to learn proper technique and form, and actually enjoy working out. Group training at Renegade was a perfect fit.
What are your goals?
I want to continue to measurably increase my strength, as well as continue to lose body fat and increase lean body mass. I also want to deepen my understanding of nutrition and how it affects us.
Through consistent training and two nutritional challenges at Renegade, I have had success on many levels. I have the confidence to go into a gym or do a home workout and know that I’m doing moves correctly and effectively. I have knowledge about portioning and creating meals to give me fuel and reach goals, but also not feel guilty about enjoying life (specifically wine and pizza :)). I also have had physical success in visibly losing body fat and gaining muscle. I’ve also met some really awesome, supportive, and kind people at Renegade, both fellow clients and staff.
What is your favorite thing about Renegade Fitness?
It’s hard to pick one thing! I love the overall atmosphere of this gym. The coaches are motivating and helpful, the workouts are challenging and fun, and the owners, Jen and Chris, are passionate about their clients. I look forward to working out—which is something I never thought I would say before I joined!
