Can you tell us a bit about yourself?
I am honored to be selected as Renegade of the month! For those of you I have not had a chance to meet, I grew up and still live in Bedford, Michigan. In our home, I am way outnumbered! I live with my wife Selena, our two beautiful daughters, Lucy (13), Lilly (11), and our female dog Roxi (15.5). Professionally, I am a financial advisor with Voya, in Sylvania, Ohio. At our firm, we focus on helping educators and baby boomers prepare for retirement.
What brought you to Renegade Fitness in the first place?
I joined Renegade one month before my 40th birthday. I have always been a person that enjoyed fitness and working out. My traditional gym routine, cardio followed by some free weights had really started to get boring to me. I visited a couple of different gyms and decided to try Renegade because of their different approach to fitness.
What kind of success have you had?
Very quickly after I started Renegade, I lost weight and gained strength. I remember vividly going to my first workout thinking that I was in “good shape” and finding out that I was not. I could not do a single ab wheel rollout and that bothered me. If you stay with it your body will change.
What is your favorite thing about Renegade Fitness?
So much where to begin… First, the coaches/trainers are amazing people dedicated to your success. They do a fantastic job showing you the exercise, monitoring your execution and pushing you along the way. Second, the comradery of the group workout. I get so much energy and motivation from my fellow Renegade members. When the workout is done, we all accomplished something together. Third, would be the variety. The coaches are constantly changing it up, creating new fun workouts. I am always excited to see what challenges the new month will bring.
What are your current fitness goals?
As my two beautiful daughters approach the “dating” age I need to stay lean, mean, and ready for ANYTHING!
