I am beyond happy to be here at Renegade and have you all in my life….Life hasn’t always been easy for me. I have worked really hard for everything I have, yet I wouldn’t change one single thing as all my experiences have brought me to this very moment. Becoming a fitness trainer has always been a dream, and being able to do this at such an amazing gym with some amazing people…dreams do come true.
I have been the Data Administrator at West Side Montessori for 10 happy years, so if you are ever in the area please stop by and say hello!!!
I consider myself a very easy going, extremely understanding human who doesn’t get upset about small stuff. I don’t like misunderstandings. I like honesty…if I say it, I mean it! I’m a happy go lucky type person, I laugh a lot, I have a ton of energy.
I love working out. I love to see this 46 year old body move and do things I didn’t think it could.
One of my ultimate dreams is to someday do a thru hike either on the Appalachian Trail or Pacific Crest Trail.
I’m originally from California, moved to Toledo in 2005 (long story). I have two kids; a 26 year old son who lives in Las Vegas and a 16 year old daughter. I am divorced and remarried to a wonderful man who loves me unconditionally, spoils me, supports me in all my crazy fitness life and truly gets me.
I am bit of a nerd. When and if I truly have free time I like to play video games, read a book, knit, sew or work on some kind of home craft.
As a family during the summer we enjoy camping, kayaking, zip lining and hiking…my daughter and I love going on road trips (hubby not so much) we have fun no matter where we go.
In my younger years I did a lot of kickboxing and MMA training. When I moved to Toledo life just fell apart and so did my fitness. Years started to go by. I would exercise here and there but nothing consistent. Out desperation I tried every fad diet imaginable. I’d lose 5 pounds, gain 10, lose 10 gain 15…so on and so on. Fast forward 12 years to find myself 45 pounds overweight with arthritis in my shoulder, arms and feet. Getting out of bed in the morning was so painful…my body didn’t match my happy young soul any more. I was so uncomfortable in my body. January 2017 I started to get into a consistent exercise routine and a healthy meal plan. I slowly started to lose some pounds and get a little stronger where I could so some of the workouts. December 2017 I ended up having bunionectomy on both of my feet…I was worried that I would lose all my fitness progress so I decided to mainly focus on my diet and as soon as I was given the okay to start working out I was back at it with bigger intensity and a bigger desire. I finally realized that this is something I have to do for the rest of my life. When you hear people say “it’s a life style and consistency is key” well…it is! Let me tell you…I feel great! I am stronger than I have EVER been, I can physically do more than I have EVER been able to do, my arthritis is pretty much gone, I’m 45 pounds lighter and my energy is off the chart!
Goals With Coaching
My goal as a coach is to motivate, encourage and inspire all, especially women over a certain age that feel they are too old or too out of shape to get strong. I want people to enjoy exercise and to make it a part of their daily lives, eat real food and love their bodies.
I want to learn how to help others. I want to share my experience and passion for fitness with all. I have so much to learn and I am ready!
