January Renegade Of The Month

What brought you to Renegade Fitness in the first place? 

I have always heard that once you turn 50, things simply change. Like most individuals, I did not think it would happen to me, but I was wrong. As I am dealing with physical, emotional and psychological changes with myself, life’s demands continue to evolve and it takes a concerted effort to be my best as a teacher, wife, mother and daughter. I decided that what I was currently doing to take care of myself was simply not enough and that I needed help. I discovered an advertisement for Renegade on social media and thought I would take advantage of a two-week trial. This opportunity turned out to be the best decision I made in 2019.

What are your goals?

For me, it begins by making a commitment to working out 5-6 times a week. I would like to gain strength, tone muscles, improve flexibility, and if I can, lose some weight along the way. Simply put, I want to take care of myself so that I can enjoy my sons’ journeys through high school, college and beyond.

What kind of success have you had?

In just five months, Renegade has made a huge impact in my life. I look forward to working out each day and try my best to supplement a cardio workout when I miss a session. Physically, I feel stronger and enjoy sharing my workout experiences with my husband and three active sons. I focus more time on preparing meals and making healthier food choices when life becomes more hectic. But most importantly, I feel more confident in myself and what I can accomplish each day.

What are your favorite things about Renegade Fitness?

This is the first time I have joined a gym and from day one, I felt welcomed to this wellness community. The instructors are knowledgeable, patient and professional as they work with clients that have various levels of athletic ability. The monthly workouts are well structured, demanding, and can still be adapted to meet individual’s needs. The facility is clean, which is a big plus for me, and everyone helps to take care of the equipment. I want to send a shout out to the instructors who arrive at Renegade early to have the facility ready for the 5:30 am workouts. This time slot has helped me stay committed to my workouts while meeting a great group of people who like to start their days on a positive note.
